Bianca Verwaayen

Bianca is passionate about improving the quality of lived spaces, particularly through active design and social connectedness. In her Masters Thesis Active Urban Dwelling, she challenged notions of apartment housing with increased flexibility for how people can use and interact with the spaces they inhabit. To further this, Bianca is inspired to design with this notion to push boundaries of what is “conventional” by designing and executing creative solutions.

Bianca is a recipient of the Ted Libfeld BILD Scholarship for demonstrating top performance in her studio, with a specialty in the Housing Industry. Her education from Ryerson has broadened her knowledge of building science and project management in addition to design and construction documentation. She transfers this knowledge to a range of projects at matter including high rise residential, office renovations, and single-family residential. Bianca also works directly with clients and contractors to produce design documents, construction drawings, and performs contract administration effectively.
